Microsoft Resolves Windows Certificate Enrollment Error Bug

Microsoft has fixed a bug that triggered false CertificateServicesClient (CertEnroll) error messages after the July 2025 preview and subsequent Windows 11 24H2 updates.

🔹 The error mentioned the “Microsoft Pluton Cryptographic Provider” not being loaded.
🔹 Microsoft clarified it was only a false log entry, with no impact on Windows security or processes.
🔹 Devices would log this error in Event Viewer on every restart.

📢 On August 29, 2025, Microsoft released KB5064081, which includes the fix. The rollout will be completed in about 4 weeks, after which all future security and non-security updates will carry the resolution.

⚡ Other recent fixes included false error messages for Windows Firewall, WinRE updates, and BitLocker drive encryption.

👉 If you manage Windows systems, ensure your devices are updated and verify KB5064081 is installed.
